EXPLORATIONS IN CONSCIOUSNESS
Out of Body Experiences, Lucid Dreams and Altered States
ABOUT EXPLORATIONS IN CONSCIOUSNESS
Welcome to Explorations in Consciousness! This site is aimed at facilitating the exploration of consciousness, and the realization of its full potential through out of body experiences, lucid dreams and other altered states of consciousness.
It is dedicated to the community of inquisitive explorers looking for information and interaction with others to enhance their own experience in an atmosphere free from any one specific doctrine or value based philosophy.
I hope this will provide the means for fruitful communication between individuals as well as make the subject of consciousness and its exploration more accessible to everyone.
See you at the FORUMS
Best wishes,
Fred

Excerpt: I could still hear the blow dryer going, I could plainly see the light coming through the crack of our bedroom door...I felt for one of our bed post legs (it's cold...Always cold)...Yup...Cold to the touch. Wide awake. I looked up to make sure I didn't fall asleep and fall to the floor for real...Nope, I was indeed out of body. There was the lump on my side of the bed...A vacant shell (for the time being) snoring away...
How to achieve the MIND AWAKE/BODY ASLEEP state?
I wrote an article on the subject a long time ago, but many of the tips and tricks still apply to help you achieve the state necessary for projecting your consciousness.
The story goes back to Robert A. Monroe, who began to experience involuntary Out of Body Experiences (OBE) in 1957. These early experiences have been documented in his first book "Journeys out of the body" (Monroe, 1971). While the early experiences of Monroe were often characterized by a sensation of leaving the body his development took a different turn in later years. Major Site Upgrade
The EIC site went through a major make-over. The entire template has been radically changed to something more pleasing to the eye. I am still in the process of updating several pages so you may come across the old template here and there. Otherwise, navigation should be more enjoyable.
