I have noticed that there has been a 'burdensome like' feeling underlying the interactions here on the forum. The world is changing and appears to be changing ever more quickly ... so some are just busier here (and maybe feeling a bit disconnected) ... some are beginning to wonder or worry about the apparent storm that appears to be approaching in our physical world ... overall big changes appear eminent ... and this is arriving right along the surface of our awareness ... where our conscious is above and our subconscious is below.

This video from Martha Beck a simple comparative metaphor for our present times ... so take a listen to it ... it is less than 9 minutes ... I found it insightful so I am sharing it.

I like the way she thinks! But unfortunately it's not the way the World works, yet.

An example of this. I drive quite a bit. Our Spring Renaissance Faires are quite the distance from our home. Someitmes 13-15 hour drives. Years ago, the way some people drive would drive me crazy. They were always in a hurry and thought only about themselves. I used to vocalize my resent in this. But after a while I let it go.
Every year I have noticed this getting worse and worse. It seems the more passive and understanding people get, the easier it is for the others to walk all over them. The problem is, that many of those "passive" people, have given up and become aggressors themselves. The same in the Art show/Ren Faire business. It used to be your design was your design and others in your field appreciated it. Now they look at it with how can they "utilize" it to their own advantage. This was the reason we stopped doing Art shows years ago. The Renaissance Faires were different, but today even the Rennies are stealing from other Rennies.

Yeah, I thought so too. She is a well respected life coach (very smart), so she is very skilled at presenting her coaching point clearly.

One thing that some on this forum might sense from her is that she speaks with a materialistic leaning (e.g., she is focus on the physical). However, this is where her clients and followers are at, so I understand her focus. I thought some here could relate to this, and get a place to stand with the individual definition of their own circumstances.

I am glad that you saw this, as I thought of our conversation when I first watched the video.

I am not a fast driver (I was at one time). The freeways are 'nuts' here in southern California. I now drive very defensively (if I do drive).

I have seen lots of copying also. This must be especially discouraging for the 'artisan', because then everything becomes about competition and business ... and less about creating and sharing what you brings you joy.

Your observation about aggressors and passive people is very true. When stuff like this (e.g., aggressive people) comes up, I am now learning that this is the time to remember the larger part of us (e.g., the non-physical part). Because from this, we can then focus upon the non-physical being of the aggressor (e.g., everyone has an inner being). We can then communicate directly at that level by acknowledging that we know who and what they really are (e.g., not an aggressor but their non-physical supporting system). I am using these tools quite a bit recently with some aggressive neighbors.

One of the reasons that I posted Martha Beck's video is that the smaller part of us is getting noisily hit upon from all sides energetically. If we keep listening to the noisy and windy parts around us, we get sucked up into its stream. We are in the midst of change, and this is impacting individual humans differently.

It is a time where we (all) must move towards the eye of the storm (where it is calm) ... I sense that place is resting in the larger part of our being. That is the discussion that I was hoping to introduce here. I wanted to get a bit clearer about after suggesting the video first.

Love it and so true!!! what a image of the pyramid. I relate to this in many way and just this afternoon driving I was thinking about how futile it is to separate ourself or create walls from what we believe to be evil or just wrong. Judgement separate us from what we judge and how could we think that there is not a part of ourself in some degree that could be reflected, even in a small degree of what we are actually judging. I bet I don't follow this at all time but it does make you think about that power we have when we observe the world around in a more conscious way or try to be more aware of the impact we have from just how we observe and try to make sense of the madness. I do live in a bubble by choice, yes;) I know you all know that, but I can't see how I could be of any enlightening influence to whom comes into contact with my own madness. I do feel that there is more competition and I see it when there is a fear of not enough for everyone.
Funny that you say that Shu-Man about how at markets there is that sense of competion and often you will hear some vendors saying things like this person should not sale the same thing or is coming with his own stuff and some tries to make copies... true some balance have to be made not always easy,o_O so we found a niche:D and if anyone mad enough to carry concrete statue in some aluminum bread Van every saturday to sale at a baking sweaty market, well go aheado_O so far no other stone vendor:confused: Jeez! what does that say about us:cool: anyway, I think it keeps you on edge and become even more creative if you want to stand out and we "specie of human"need that spark some time because we are pretty lazy race when to comfortable. As an artist I had to not be attach to any of my work because I always wanting to create more and even sometime on the same piece I will change my technique for fun just to see the effect or just being curious:D, it is a drive , you can never be satisfied or attach to the product, just a process and the result is short live but it never will fulfill you, so if I see someone doing what I am doing I want to do it better:rolleyes: I love the challenge. I had lost contracts when I found myself becoming so attach to my work and even felt some envies, twisted thinking patterns that only backfired at me, they were my great lessons and so thankful now looking back.
It must help living like a hermit, it does only need a few to change thing, one at the time:)

First off, great topic choice ST! I had to think for a couple days. This pretty much covers the entire spectrum of Earth Life up to its present moment...and I agree that the pressure seems to be increasing, both locally and globally. You make a great observation that "the smaller part of us is noisily getting hit upon from all sides energetically." Dolores Cannon's books speak to a coming "Shift", but I have been waiting on that one through the years-1986, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2012...still waiting.

    So some thoughts-

I like her sentiment, the metaphor of a gradually evolving consciousness slowly encompassing our societal structures (of which I strive to be one small part). But like Shu said, I think it is completely impractical in the overall context of what Monroe coined as the Earth Learning System. Apparently some individuals have achieved something akin to this idea, maybe small groups or communities, but not nations.

I mean, let's face the fact- we have predominantly Materialist societies because it is a materialist world; at its most basic nature a very predatory world. There can be some co-operation at certain levels but when circumstances get squeezed, we get fairly predatory fairly quickly; everything and everyone does.

We don't even have complete control of our individual physical bodies; we have symbiotic animalcules living within us, in our digestive systems, and specialized critters in what used to be an active appendix. In every breath, we inhale and exhale tiny life-forms, killing some, feeding others. We get parasites that feed off us in direct competition with our own needs. Outside we get bears, wolves and sharks. Just starting there, Physical Reality is a damn smorgasbord of a predatory buffet. I may not like it, but it is the way it is.

Then we get to the social constructs that humans have come up with. I like her comment about the Chinese socialists pointing out that Capitalism is all about people subjugating people and Communism is the other way around. I would offer a comment associated to Churchill that Capitalism is the worst social model of all, until you consider all the others. In my view, neither model works entirely (a ruling elite is always going to emerge) but that Capitalism is arguably the best because it allows for the growth of the largest middle class. Sadly, a large middle class appears to be the greatest threat to the ruling elite (wealthy or governmental) so in either system the middle class herd is periodically thinned out through war or economic collapse. That is the essential problem with any power structure or bureaucracy; it becomes self-serving and ultimately corrupt; and why it must be kept to as much local control as possible. My thinking anyway...

So what is the essential problem with humans, that holds us back? I think Plume described it exactly and that is the tendency for our species to be lazy. The exploration of that idea could be a whole topic in itself.

Martha's vision is a worthy one but it does not fit with the overall scheme of the Earth Learning System where a predatory baseline puts a premium on adaptability and ingenuity and assertiveness, to name just a few qualities. Maybe, such as in Monroe's AD3800 future, some semblance of Martha's vision will be realized, with a convenient 15,000 human bodies laying around for use, but I think that that would only be when the usefulness of the current ELS curriculum had long passed. I mean, even in Monroe's AD3800, predatory Earth actions still occur: flowers grow and die, as do trees. Big fish still eat little fish...this Physical reality DOES require consumption at some level.

My thinking is that there are currently a few more than 7 billion people rushing around the planet, but we are not all the same evolutionarily-speaking, some are ahead of others and closer to making the "Shift", if or whenever that may come. This is neither a good or bad thing, like your kid being in the 7th grade and mine in 1st...it's just the natural progression of things. We always need to keep a wider perspective to these things. Dolores Cannon's books eventually refer to the "Shift" occurring on a more gradual basis...up to a point. Beyond that I am unsure. But in this sense, I think it may tie in with Martha's description. If so, then some of us may experience a shift into a higher frequency; the rest will remain here in this incredibly powerful (and brutal) Earth Learning System, until we are ready to move on.

Anyway, I am glad to be sharing the journey with all of you, along with your wisdom and insights. The world will muck its way along and we can discuss the finer points such as finding our way to Bee's Annual Barbecue. Thank you each. This so much beats when I was going it alone.

    Dust ...

Yes, it can be helpful working through these things with others.

Martha takes a physical focus (because that's what her clients and followers need) ... but her metaphor seems to suggest that current circumstance may not be as dark as commonly perceived.

Non-physical guidance holds forth and reminds us that ... all is well, all is always well.

Regarding ELS, I noticed that Monroe changed many of his initial ideas and perceptions by his death in the 1990's. You can see this progression in his three books. By the time Ultimate Journey comes along, he is no longer acknowledging major concepts that were part of his earlier understanding (in Journeys and Far Journeys). Maybe they are still teaching ELS at the Monroe Institute (I don't know, because I have not been there).

I do know this though. Now graduates and instructors of the Monroe Institute, like Frank DeMarco (see Rita's World I and II), are presenting non-physical instruction and guidance which paints a much more evolving picture of who we are, what we are and how we serve. It is far beyond what Monroe was given when he learned from Miranon about guidance in the 1980's.

I would summarize my own perspective (what I call "my current understanding") in this way. As an extension of the non-physical (here in the physical) ... I am not sent here to redeem OR to learn OR to escape the limiting Earth planet's gravity (e.g., escape velocity) OR to make up for past karma ... I am here for the joy of expansion ... the expansion of Consciousness. By simply "being" here (in this physical body, vibration and knowing), I am expanding Consciousness (along with everyone else). We are (all of us) worthy simply because of that.

This is what continues to resonate with me, as I explore with my own non-physical guidance.

    Dust,
You just reminded me to go cut the grass and the the place a freshen up. It's a bit faded, but still there as far as I can make out. BBQ season is almost upon us! :D

I'm starting to feel like I'm in a pressure cooker, people and heads of govts are behaving weirder by the day. Something has got to pop. Just my 2c. :) Oh, btw, the antics of the traffic out my way are just as bad. And they reckon the population will grow to 11 billion? Lol.:D

did I read BBQ season... I am still dreaming of that being a possibility...;) just imagine...:) I read in Jurgen's latest book a part that he feel he must of been many time in the pass and created, but he feel that he had neglected or was not active for long and when he did find himself there again realizing that it was his own created space, he was surprise to see that some happy artist and happy busy people moved in and were creating art work in that place, they were welcoming and did acknowledge that he was the owner of that place in a sort of amusing way. :) is that cool or what Bee??? your BBQ place is maybe crowded of vacationer:eek: you better go cut the grass there to  and plants some flowers...rose bushes

Yes indeed! We managed our first the other weekend, but today by contrast it felt like winter was still whispering on the wind. Brrrrr!

As for the tourists...it may well be that some turn up, but the dinner dance is by reservation only;)

ST, thanks for the Miranon contributions...I am checking them out one by one... I've seen your reco of them over the last couple years and only now had the time to check them out; did #5 last night. This is really good stuff!

I agree and understand that Monroe's message evolved over time. He did not necessarily renounce his earlier understandings and references in his books but he clearly evolved into a deeper or greater understanding the further he progressed. In his books he left these ideas behind without answering them. I did find this a bit frustrating, but years later, with a wider context, I now understand a bit better.

I agree and submit...that we are each and everyone, here for different reasons...some for karma, some for evolution, some for only reasons known only at a soul-level...ultimately, it is for expansion...Cannon's books actually pursue this idea...

You touched on escape velocity as a concept of defying Earth's gravity...I chose it as a name on Astral Pulse to represent a wider concept of what it takes to leave behind all the social and mental constructs that bind us to this world...it also sounded cool and kind of felt right with the phonetics...plus I had a registration problem at the Pulse at the time and couldn't get Dust as a username, so there 'ya go...

This in itself is a good confirmation. Good read!

OK ... so you are Escape Velocity over at AP ... I did not know that. When I used the term ‘escape velocity’ above, I was not knowingly poking at you, but rather using Monroe's initial interpretations of escape velocity (which many here are familiar with) as an example of his developments as an explorer. I have no problem with the label 'escape velocity', but it seems odd in old TMI videos when Monroe implies that it is needed to escape Earth upon exit.

Non-physical perspective is that "all is well ... all is always well".

The Miranon tapes assisted me with my first meetings with my own guidance. They helped me build momentum. I listened to them again just last month.

The current work of Frank DeMarco is the best that I have seen (e.g., on developing experiences with guidance) from the TMI crowd. He talks with various non-physical beings and then publishes books of the entire conversation (without editing). Rita's World is his most current book series.

FINALLY!!! My internet is co-operating. I really just wanted to ditto this as the way I see it we are not all on the same level. Those levels spread far and wide so even if Martha is absolutely correct it could conceivably still take thousands of generations to effect that kind of change.

I would literally plow through the storm to get in the eye if bullheaded intention alone could get me there.
