Frederick Aardema is a researcher and practitioner in the field of clinical psychology at the Fernand Seguin Research Center affiliated with the University of Montreal. He has published widely in international scientific journals, including two books on obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. Other aspects of his research include dissociation, virtual reality, introspection, reasoning and psychological assessment. He is a frequent presenter at international conferences. A more private aspect of his life has always been the exploration of consciousness through out of body experiences, lucid dreams and altered states of consciousness. Originally born in the Netherlands, he now lives in Montreal, Canada.
